1. Introduction

DogMethod ("we", "us", or "our") operates dogmethod.co and related services (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you use the Service.

By using DogMethod, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

  • Account information: email address and authentication data when you create an account or sign in with a magic link.
  • Assessment and plan information: details you provide about your dog and training situation, such as name, breed, age, behavior, equipment, training history, and daily feedback you submit in the app.
  • Purchase information: payment status, transaction identifiers, and billing-related metadata processed through Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
  • Usage information: plan progress, completed tasks, coaching notes, and interactions with the Service.
  • Technical information: browser type, device information, IP address, and similar data collected automatically when you visit the Service.
  • Communications: messages you send us and transactional emails we send you (such as welcome emails, purchase confirmations, and sign-in links).

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • Provide, personalize, and deliver your dog training plans
  • Create and manage your account and authenticate sign-in
  • Process payments and fulfill purchases
  • Send transactional emails related to your account, purchases, and sign-in
  • Save your progress and coaching feedback within the Service
  • Improve, maintain, and secure the Service
  • Measure advertising performance and understand how the Service is used
  • Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms & Conditions

4. AI processing

We use third-party AI services to generate personalized training plans and coaching responses based on information you submit. Assessment answers, plan context, and feedback you provide may be sent to these providers for processing.

We do not use your information to train public AI models on your behalf unless a provider's own terms state otherwise. We use AI providers only to deliver the Service to you.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with service providers that help us operate the Service, including providers for:

  • Authentication and database hosting (Supabase)
  • Payment processing (Stripe)
  • Email delivery (Resend)
  • AI plan generation and coaching (OpenAI)
  • Website hosting and infrastructure
  • Analytics and advertising measurement (Google)

These providers process data on our behalf under contractual safeguards and only as needed to perform their services.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect our rights or users, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand Service usage. Authentication cookies are necessary for account access.

We may use analytics and advertising technologies (such as Google Ads tags) to measure conversions and campaign performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work properly if essential cookies are disabled.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping access to your email account secure, since sign-in links are sent there.
